I consider the early Precisions as Tele Basses because of their headstock style.

Well that is just wrong. The Telecaster Bass was a reissue of the first generation Precision Bass introduced in 1968.

King of Bass Knowledge ... the more you conduct your self like this the more you're discrediting yourself......buy posting inaccurate info & then trying to prove it as fact when you should just admit you're wrong, you're also discrediting this forum........life is to short to debate the trivial non factual bass info that you find so important......... I'm outta here topic closed.

If you call a first generation P-Bass a "Tele Bass," then do you call a second generation P-Bass a "Strato Bass" because it clearly has the Stratocaster headstock shape?

Here is the only known photo of the Stratocaster Bass. Fortunately I happened to be in just the right spot on Loch Ness.

That's exactly what I thought Dave when I saw the picture of this bass & a couple of other's he's posted ......... the black P Bass is actually from the custom shop website.

There's also this apparent Sawdowsky replicated Marcus Miller Bass on the thread titled "Passive tone on American Deluxe 5 versus American Standard"......, HMMM ?? looks a little like copy right infringement ,??: what do you think?? (the photo is near the bottom of the page on this link)

@brotherdave, James Coderre

FYI here's a description from the product:

Quote:
The Custom Shop Pro Series is always experimenting with new concepts, and the 2013 Precision Bass Pro is a great example. Combining vintage styling with new customized features, it has a hand-selected alder body and two stacked Seymour Duncan® ’51 P Bass pickups that deliver maximum thump. Other features include a white pearloid pickguard, dual volume controls and master tone control, side-mounted output jack, “C”-shaped neck profile, medium jumbo frets, vintage-style reverse tuners and a new high-mass bridge designed by the Custom Shop’s new Research Special Division.

Hope this information helps! :)

PS. I've already received a warning message recently and I don't think twice to be mistreated as a troll.

Anyone considering facing problems with an annoying guy will regret expressing such opinions over my own persona: I'm gonna quit the forum at any moment to prevent future trouble.

I've had hoped to help you finding the information you're looking for and instead of this you treat me a a nasty troll. Congrats!

The pictures I've had posted were solely intended for reference purposes and not to discredit the Fender bass forums as you pretend. :twisted:

Had sent a PM to Brad.

I finally decided to no longer participate to the Fender forum after three years of fruity contributions.

I kindly thank you sharing your experiences, folks.

Ciao!
