I assume you are talking about the Badass II bridge. Personally, I would not drill it. Are you dead-set on putting those particular strings on. I'm not 100% certain, but on the Jamerson set isn't the E a .110? I tried out a .110 E on my Hwy One and it was a pain to get it thru, but eventually it went. Of course, I didn't like it and went back to a 105.

Glad the drill worked out for you. I also had Chromes on there for a bit, but switched back to rounds a couple months back when I got a new American Series P-bass.

Hey Zod, I know this is about strings but I have a quick question for ya. My buddy I play wih has a MIM deluxe Jazz Bass and wants to throw an american neck on there. His old neck is jacked up and needs to be replaced. The question is, would an American neck fit the MIM body?

Regards, M :?

I wish that I could give you a definite answer, but I do not know exactly. I would contact Fender customer service to get a confirming answer. I believe that you can, as the heels should be the same dimensions. Here are some links to help you out. Hopefully, someone more knowledgable in this subject will chime in.
