Hi, I looking for help. I have chance to buy this Fender Precision American Deluxe with improved 18V battery slot and replaced custom shop Fender neck. I dont know much about Fender parts and I can not recognize if this neck is really original. Thanks for answers.

not Fender neck or body-- All Parts body-- Mity Mite neck. I've used both those companies before.

That is a very good counterfeit decal there. Very good.

my Mity Mite neck heel was too large for my All Parts body and I didn't want to sand it down a bunch to make it fit . I still had to work on it to get it to fit a USA P bass body. One runs across allot of little things like that when using aftermarket Mitey Mite and All Parts necks and bodies ( and others prob). Mitey Mite is just okay( sometimes not okay even)and are not exact in specs to Fenders- neither is All Parts.

There are better aftermarket necks than M. Mite. They make budget necks that are better than no neck. There are many other suppliers also. WD, Warmoth, StewMac, AllParts, etc. With the "Fiscal Cliff" 4 and a half weeks away I suppose everyone will be cheaping out or going neckless.

I think I went off the cliff already.

So the bottom line is that there is nothing on this bass that is genuine Fender, with
the possible exception of the wiring harness and pickups and the neck plate.

It may be a fantastic bass. Its just not a real Fender bass, although it will fool all of your friends and neighbors.
Be careful with your $$ out there. The Rip-offs are working overtime!

For me it has been easier to build a good sounding 6 string guitar than to build a good sounding bass with aftermarket Mity and All parts. Out of maybe 5 or 9 basses only one really shines. I think it's mostly the woods' fault. :D

You know- I have to wonder when I see basses like that for sale-- Why would anyone one want to sell a killer sounding bass??? I wouldn't.... What's that doin' to ya' ????

What Brother Dave said about the fiscal cliff ( my comment)........We are down for the count in the deep end of the tank dudes. I have 10 guitars up for sale for over a week and have no hits. Well I've had two hits from weezel nuts' who want to trade stuff like an ipod speaker for a Fender bass. I tell you- it's a slippery sled hill and we have cereal varnish on the bottom of our sleds.

well I have to recant my last post. I am selling a killer sounding bass. Yes. And I guess my reason is valid. So I understand why someone would want to sell a good bass. It could be that they have plenty of other good sounding killerest basses and it could be that they want to buy a killer 1954 truck.

Oxfan- PM me .
