Can someone give me a guide on Precision neck shapes from the 70s? I'm not talking neck widths as in A or B. I'm currently looking at a 1973 Precision online, but the owner isn't that familiar with the various shapes, so can't tell me whether it's a C or U shape. I'm not fond of the chunkier necks, so if this Precision is a U shape, I'll probably opt-out. I think I remember hearing that they used the U shapes for at least the first half of the 70s. I'm fairly sure the 60s necks were C shape. If I want to stick with this era, would I have to find a '69 model to get a C shape? Or did they possibly stick with the C shape as late as 1970?
I appreciate any help on this.
Thanks
