Kinda off topic, but I was looking at Precisions on Ebay the other day and found a semi hollow body P-bass, Fender made. heres the link:

Anyways, I'd buy it but just got a MIA American Vintage 62 Reissue.

Hi all,I have five P-Basses. Two M.I.M.(One Sunburst With Flats And One Artic White With Nickel Rounds) ,One American Standard (Nickel Rounds),One Classic 50's P-Bass (One Sweet Sounding Bass,Flats On It) And a 1973 P-Bass (Nickel Rounds). I must say the Mexican Basses are great and see most of the action. I gig often and use them the most. I love a P-bass with Nickel Roundwounds ! My Artic White is like a good friend.

I own a 60 th MIM P bass. The guru at the store did a lot on lowering the action and after I did a a/b test between the Highway, 1 MIA , and the 60th they all sounded pretty much the same. This MIM Rocks~!!

My pride and joy is a 96 MIM P with BAII bridge, Rotosound strings, professionally set up and frets re-dressed by Randy Wood. But the coolest part of my bass is the custom pickguard. It's an air brushed Mexican Outlaw. It blends in so good with the black body, hince Petro the Bandito. Thanks for letting me brag. 8)

my first pbass so far is a 86/87 MIJ in sunburst with a black scratchplate and maple board, loaded with a wizard thumper pickup and a villex booster and it sounds amazing. next stop prob a MIA or a squire VM tele bass.
