if you could get your hands on any P-Bass owned by any bass player in history, whose would you want?

myself, I would want the mid 60's P (not sure exactly what year) that Geezer Butler used to record the first 3 Sabbath records... sounded good tuned down, and had plenty of growl through that Orange amp.

Easy one! John Entwistle's "Frankenstein".

I'd like to get the Pbass that Paul Simonon smashed on the cover of London Calling but I couldn't play it . One to play would have to be Noel Reddings Jazz Bass even though I prefer Precisions.

I'd like to spend a couple hours with Billy Sheehan's early 70's Precision.

James Jamerson's P-Bass, though hard to play with bowed neck due to "high tension wires" strings..

Carl Radle's 70's Precision. Maybe it still knows how to play '"Let It Rain".

Doesn't matter much to me--as long as it's in good shape.

Although I recently saw the Glenn Kaiser Band--and the bass player Roy Montroy used a P-Bass--so if I have to pick--I'll say Roy's.

Paul McCartney used a Precision in the studio on some recordings. That would be my pick.

I saw Heart on TV the other Sunday night and the bass player had what looked like a 57 P that sounded awesome. I'd play it. It sounded almost as good a Stings old P bass of which I also would play.

I'd like Phil Lynott's Black P Bass (the one used with Thin Lizzy) I also like Sting's beaten up 50's P Bass & the P Bass that James Jamerson Funked out with on those motown recordings....... :)
