Instead of making a poll why didn't you just ask who everyone's favorite bass player is?

I am kinda confused. The post subject/thread title is Your Favorite Bass Player, but your OP says Who is more popular?

Of the 3 listed, I will say that Sir Paul is the most popular.
As far as my favorite bass player of those 3, I will say JPJ.
As far as my favorite bass player overall, that's a cross between Geezer Butler, Roger Waters, and Jeordie White.
My favorite bass is a Fender American Series Precision Bass with a maple neck, black body, black pickguard ala Roger Waters.
My favorite color is black.
My favorite food is fast.
My favorite animal is a cat.
I am an Aries.
I am in a relationship.

Don't we have something like this already? This is just like the "BadAss bridge question" and "HWY1 question", search for it. Lots of the same question being thrown out here. I'm with Zod, the title and the body does not match.

Paul McCartney. Singing lead and playing those killer bass runs at the same time is just fantastic.

How can you have Duff sandwiched between JPJ and Sir Paul? Is this like one of those multi-choice S.A.T questions,"which item doesn't belong?"

I can't believe JPJ isn't on top. He can play rings around Duff and is better than Paul even though I have to give Paul props as well. Nothing against Duff, but he's not in the same league as Paul and nowhere near JPJ's planet!

The man is easly one of the best bassist of all time!!!!!

Heh. JPJ wins out of these choices, but my bass idol is Cliff Burton. Anyone who says they play 'lead bass' has a spot on my list.

Hells yea. I noticed that no one has thrown in anyone like Chris Squire, Geddy Lee, or Phil Lynett. I think that they are killer bass players. Of the three listed up at the top of the page, I would say John Paul Jones.
