Looking at a supposed to be 2010 MIA PBass. Neck was taken off and replaced with a Washburn. I'm interested in the body, but with no serial number (non Fender neck) and nothing on the neck plate, what would I look for to confirm MIA or even Fender :?: Thanks.

The potentiometers have date codes.
The pickups should have date codes.
The paint job or finish or stain may be done in certain years.
The body's neck pocket may have some markings.
Sometimes the pickup cavity has markings.
QC/QA inspectors will leave pencil or pen initials or markings.
If you see written "Toppscore was here", that is not a good sign.
Under the pick-guard are some tell-tale signs regarding the foil
or no foil, etc.

Hope this will get you going in a better direction. Toppscore 8)

Thanks for the info Toppscore. If we can get right on the price, I think it'll be a nice score no matter where it was made. :)

Surely it's a Lyon by Washburn WB-10 P-Bass copy.

Post a few pics, my boy, it might help us a lot to identify your bass.

Honestly, I am in a huge deep search for one of three items:
1) Any reliable mfg Baritone guitar w/27"-29" scale, B-B tuning
whammy/tremolo system and a longer hard shell case
2) 1988-1992 Fender HM Heavy Metal guitar with 24 Frets (pickups can vary)
3) 1998-2009 Fender Showmaster Stratocaster w/24 Frets (pickups can vary)

Based upon the my projected budget upon similar competitor guitars,
I decided I have to go with what I really want, no matter the mfg,
and trust reviews and mfg reputation quality. I have over 30(+) guitars
on watch at EBay and many retail stores are noted for inventory & discounts.

The point is, as I seek and search, I learn more about what I want and don't want.
Therefore, cheapest is not always the highest priority.

I just purchased a 1994 Fender Custom 1962 Reissue Jaguar guitar.
Last night, I lost out on a 1993 Fender Baritone Jaguar guitar
that would've been a perfect match for my 1994/1962 Jaguar.
For $200 more, I would have had that matched set for the rest of my life.

My Point: Now, I'll probably end up purchasing a nice
Gretsch Danelectro Schlecter Fender Eastwood ESP/LTD Hagstrom etc guitar,
BUT I'LL NEVER HAVE THAT MATE/MATCH I DESIRED. Sadly, I under bid but kept my budget :(

I say, if you like it, get it.
If it is a few bucks extra, get it.
Bag you lunch for a few months, but in the end, you have it
and did not miss out dickering and losing it. Toppscore 8)
