I want to ask a question or two about the highway p-bass. One, can those reverse clover leaf tuning keys fit the headstock of that bass? Also, can a standard bridge replace the bassass bridge thats on it? My reason is, I like the sound of the muted P-bass, and if I get the bridge cup for it, it won't fit over the bassass bridge. Futhermore, I have to get the pickup cover also, because of my health situation, the pickup cover will cut down on the magentic field that is producted by the pickups. Some doctors told me it doesn't make a different, while some have said , it does. Well , I'm not gonna risk my health, so I will add that pickup cover. Im just asking a few questions concerning the Fender highway P=bass

I'm not sure, but why would you want to replace them?

I'm pretty sure you can. However I am not certain but I think there are some bridge covers that can work with the BadAss. You may find your answer here from somone else or even try another "Bass" specific forum site for more info. I have seen some people using a small foam piece between the string and body/bridge as a mute. That could be another, cheaper option for you. Just a thought.

thank you for your anwer. You're right, I don't I need to change the tuners on that bass. I just like those big fender keys that I'm use to. I guess my "age" is now talking. back in the day, when a person had a cheap fender copy, those little keys came with it. Some of my fellow bass players from the 'Philly" area, would kid one another, because the cheap may looked like a fender, but then when we saw those cheap keys , we knew it hasn't a fender!
