Hi there!

I'm brand new here and I LOVE your forum. I've been checking out some of the pictures you've posted, and you guys have some really beautiful basses.

I have a quick question about my new p-bass. It's American-made, and I noticed it's got a silver 60th anniversary sticker/button on the back of the headstock. Did fender do that with all the guitars released in 2006, or does it mean anything special?

Thanks!
:)

Yeah it was on all the american standards in the year 2006. The better ones were all the sunburst style they all had 60's style pickups in them the teles strats jazz and p basses! I highly recommend getting one of those if you find one. About 95% of them had 60th anniversary neck plates on them too. The solid colors just had the metal sticker on the back of the headstock. Those are special too only for that. It pretty much means they were made for the 60th anniversary of fender.

All 06' instruments have the small headstock badge, (except the CS time machine basses and AVS' I believe, though I'm not positive.) not just the MIA instruments.

Thanks you guys. I got this bass because it sounded better than the other basses in its price range (including two other american-made standard p-basses). I didn't notice the sticker until I got the bass home, and wondered if it might have had a better pickup. I totally love it! Too bad it's not one of the sunbursts, but I'm still really happy with it. I can't wait to start playing it live! Woo-hoo!!! At least I know what the sticker means. Thanks again!
