I believe my bass to be pretty rare (options/year/color combos)
I special ordered this bass from Fender and chose the following build options...I have scoured the internet since 2006 and have yet to see one bass with the same build options.
Does Fender have a website or do you think they will be able to let me know how many were built the same as this one????

I "Time Capsuled" this bass from 2006-2011...It has less than 5hrs playing time with not one dent/scratch/ding

-2006 Fender P Bass Deluxe (Anniversary year...but not the anniv model that came with the special diamond cases)
-Tobacco burst (discontinued 1/2007 with the exception of one Strat model)
-Premium Ash
-C shape neck
-Maple Neck 9.5" radius
-22 Medium Jumbo frets
-Scale 34"
-Nut 1.625"
-Cream pickguard
-Abalone Dot Position Inlays

Gorgeous, Jazzy! Why don't you play it? Seems silly not to.

I may start playing it...i really dig the tonal capabilities of this bass. If it turns out that this is the only one with these specs i will probably just put it away for good and buy a used one.

I prefer those Deluxes to the post-2010 models because they're way better than the current ones.

Of course they lack off an active/passive switch and compound radius neck with stealth string retainers.

Fender removed the 22nd fret from the fretboard when they went onto designing the current US Deluxe basses in late 2009.

I think you should play it! You can play it carefully, and only at home, but PLAY IT!

I believe that good instruments get better over time, when they're played.

HUZZAH!

Yes! Play it, man! Play it! The vibrations of the strings through the wood, the talented touch of human hands on the neck and body. It makes a bass better!

Yep. It does.

A good friend of mine has a 2009 I think. He takes his on tour with his band (Madball). He has EMG's on his now, going thru Ampeg Heritage and some sorts of SansAmp pedal (not sure which one he uses). He loves his.

Surely your friend has installed an EMG soapbar in the bridge and covered the humbucker slot with a black pickup bezel...

Posting some photos may be appreciated and helpful.

That's the thing with EMG's...you get new post with the kit. I have 3 post with my '89, vol, vol, tone. I could leave the tone alone, but I decided to keep the tone. He chose to just use the vol/vol - should've bought a new pg. EMG also gives you a new jack input.
