I am reenlisting in the military and will be getting a substantial reenlistment bonus. I am very likely buying a Steve Harris bass. Love the color and the guard on it. Anyway, to the meat of it. None of the spec sheets specify whether or not the strap buttons on it are locks. They sorta look like Dunlop Locks, but nothing says they are. Need to know so I can know if I need to add those to cart, as it were.

Thanks fellas.

Good for you! Thanks for your dedication to serving our country. I know why you're re-enlisting, your bass sounds soooooooo good when the sub is underwater.

Straplocks? I doubt it but i'm not positive. I went looking aroud and can't find anyything as them being there.

Yep, look like the Fender standard buttons. Thanks dudes. The photos on Fender.com and MusiciansFriend both sorta look odd.

Ahhh -Right the Admiral  ..... I'm sure you'll be able to convince the Admiral...just let her know that aside of the awesome eye catching paint job & chrome pickguard this bass has been fitted with a Badass II bridge & a Seymour Duncan Basslines SPB-1
pick up..& a Deluxe gig bag...I would have preferred a hard shell case though as I'm not a fan of gig bags but that being said it is a nice bag :) & with regard to the strings I also like the stock Rotosound Steve Harris signature flatwound strings.......They're a heavy guage though E 110 - A95 - D75 -G 50 I'm not much of a flat wound string user (other than using them on my Jaco fretless) but I have to say they sound great on this bass :)

Well, the Admiral likes the color and the chrome guard, so that half is won. Now to get her to relent on the waiting till we're back stateside....

You have to explain to "The Admiral", that the International Date Line is a facctor is all of this. Uou have to speak clearly, compassionatly and with passion. Probably won't work but at least you tried!

My two favorite standard production artist models are the Steve Harris and the Mike Dirnt. The finish on the Harris is gorgeous up close.
