Have you seen the Dennis Dunaway signature P/J Bass. In case you don't know Dunaway was the bassist in the original Alice Cooper Group. Gaudy looking bass. A rinestone cowboy's dream bass.

Considering it is a Fender Custom Shop Limited Master-built, it must be outstanding in terms of craftsmanship, but with the look...I concur.

FYI...it is a 75' style J-bass with a P pickup.

Street value exceeds 10k :!:

Drum city had one for sale. It was sold for $10,399. Egads!!!!!!! Personaly I think its a Kool Bass. I grew up in that era and when Alice Cooper was formed they practice a couple of miles from my house. On that note a couple of miles the other way from my house Bob Seger had a Band house where he practiced after the Bob Seger System. Heres a good one. 2 blocks over The Rockets had there band house (Jimmy McCarty, Johny B and Dave gilbert may god rest his soul.). My friends sister was pass around Pattie and they would let us sit on the porch and listen to them practice. We were in 7th grade to young to hang out inside. The Motor City Rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't recall Dunaway playing a bass like that. I'll have to google Dunaway photos. I thought after "The Frog" a Gibson EB-3 Dunaway painted Green he played a black Jazz Bass with a mirrored pickguard. Maybe hard core Copper fans will crop the serious cash on this. I wonder how limited the Bass production on this will be? Good investment piece?

I had to inquire about it, though I would never lay out 10K for that thing, but they told me only 10 were made & they are at exclusively BIG custom shop dealers. Those that sell the lion's share of Custom Shop pieces.

+100

You could buy a Geddy Lee sunburst model for $1k, then spend about $40 on those mini-mirrors at your local Michael's or AC Moore craft store, and then pocket the left over $8,950 and buy 2 really nice CS basses with it.
