Is it possible to change the pickguard on a Highway1 P-bass or all the spare pickguards are for American Standard?

I have both a Highway One and an American Series P-Bass. Both of the original factory pickguards are identical, all the holes line up perfectly. So my thinking is that any pickguard for a MIA Bass will fit the Hwy One. I purchased my tort pickguard for my Hwy One from Stew Mac. It lined up perfect, only thing I had to do was dremel a small truss rod notch. I got an All-Parts pickguard from GC on my AM. Series for now. Once again it fit perfect but I had to dremel the truss rod notch. I am waiting on a pickguard from WD music to replace the All-Parts one. Hope this can help.
