USA Deluxe necks are usually made from plain maple.

Never seen that kind of flamed grain on an American Deluxe neck.

Generally museum-grade maple woods (AAA, AAAA) are more common on the highly expensive FSR, limited-edition, anniversary, boutique and Custom Shop instruments.

It doesn't look like it from the angle of the photo. You could tell if it was I think. However a friend of mine bought a new MIM Lake Placid blue Jazz and the neck is pretty Flamey. Very nice. I installed some Dimarzios in it and it sounds nicer than it did. He's selling his G+L ASAT and going with just the MIM Jazz.
