I have a 2011 Highway One, and I have taken the tone and volume pots out of the circuit. I'd like to remove them entirely, but don't want the empty holes. Is there a (preferably black) pickguard available without those two holes that will fit?

google it, there are some on line stores that will sell you blank guards per your specs or just the material you can cut yourself if need be.

There are lots of wacky switches, knobs and even pilot lights that will fit the control holes. I think blinking red, blue and green pilot lights would look cool in the unused holes. Should be easy enough to power with a single 9 volt battery. Put LED's in it and they will run for a year.

I can't say I blame you for wanting to throw away the junk in a Highway One. At least I think you want it to have better sound. Making the pickup go direct to the amp could help a model that already has questionable wood etc. But I will say you could have the best one ever built and it may just sound great and people from miles around may want to come and look at it. It's a great guitar right?
