Post subject: MIA Dlx P-bass pre-amp output query

Besides research, I've even had my rig electrician try to find out to no avail. Want to adapt some headphones for practice. Surely the pre-amp output, if known, could power them. Thoughts?

Hi.

As an e-tech I can tell you that your preamp is not made for a low impedance load like a headphone coil. It's made to drive a higher impedance input of an amp front end. I would suggest that you buy a portable Bass headphone practice amp like these at guitar center: http://www.guitarcenter.com/Mini-and-He ... ifiers1.gc

That way you don't have to modify your bass by installing an amp chip and can toss the little amp into the case when you're done. Hope this helps!
