Hey guys, I own a 2010 MIM Pbass. Ive done a little customizing (replaced stock pickguard with a black one) but i really wanna do something to the stock bridge. Has anyone tried putting a classic bridge cover onto a mim pbass?

That photo is a Jazz Bass bridge cover. The P-Bass bridge cover is more plain and much smaller. The Jazz one also covers the bridge pickup. It would look out of place on a P-Bass. Here's my MIM P-Bass with both pickup and bridge covers installed:

Angela instruments online or your local Fender dealer should be able to get the right covers for you that belong on a P-Bass.

I have found chrome and gold plated covers. Does anyone know of a black bridge cover?

You should get into a metal shop and hammer out your own and plate/paint it however you want.

There is a generic Allparts one.

Here's a link to a dealer with a black Allparts one.

hey man,

i put an ashtray on my p-bass, but it's stainless steel, and it's for a p-bass
it's pretty easy to drill the holes for it, but i would also suggest getting one for a p-bass.

hmmm... After seeing the pics I think I might just do that with my New MIM p-bass. I just want to comment: If a person wants a straight answer or friendly advice without being made to feel like they asked a foolish or obvious question, you can always depend on bro Dave! Thank you bro dave!

Thanks. My computer died on me last month, and I just got a new one this week, and am now getting caught up on stuff online.
