There were some production issues in April, May and early June - however, I checked with my usual source at AllParts and they have the BA II in stock and ready to ship with a 5 per customer limit. But at least they are now available in quantity again.

I think they've been having issues keeping up with demand for at least 18 months. They seem to come in spurts.

I believe Leo Quann has had some health issues, and the company is very small and has experience issues keeping up with demand. I hope Leo is OK.

PJB, good alternatives abound now. I still like the Gotoh 201.

YOU TOOK THE WORDS OUT OF MY MOUTH  I LIKE THEM ON A JAZZBASS THATS JUST ALREADY A BIT TOO HEAVY TO BE ADDING A BADA$$-II BRIDGE ON.
I bought one about 6 years ago and its been on many of my basses, its now parked on my P/J Bass project,if it were a direct fit without having to drill new holes for I would put it on my US Jazzbass,I dont use the string thru the body option and it would accent the bass perfectly but its a 60th anniversary model and dont want to start drilling holes in it because it would open the floodgates and I would be going nuts on it,next thing you know its getting the "relic" treatment and all hell then breaks loose,it will say where it is

You really can feel the weight of the BA on your bass? 1st one I ever put on was the BA III, not heavy at all I don't think. It is beefier than the bent metal. The Gotoh I got 2 years a go when I got the '98. I like it, it's easier to intonate IMO, but I still like the BA bridge look better though.
