To Boring a topic ? HUMM lets see. :?
OR:What Bass Would you buy ? A 19??(Pre-1980)) custom shop HEAVILY-RELICED Precision OR Jazz-BASS or a real SAME-YEAR Bass in MINT Condition, the oppossing finish conditions are so perpeplexing when you add in the fact off them being the same model bass but one being original and mint while the other being a copy of the original distressed only adds to the conundrum.
Only trying wake everybody up a bit

I just posted a similar set of details over at Sabre Lane's Conservatory -

I recently picked up a 1998 Cort Vintage Series 690BK. I restrung it with GHS M3050 45-105 flats, added a retro bridge cover and changed the original tone cap to a .039 mfd disc ceramic for a wider tone control range. The Powersound PB pickups have frequency response starting at 28HZ (roughly low A) and have the highest output level I have ever seen in a passive system.

As compared to my two Fender P-basses, this one is right up there as one of my favorites.

I'd be happy to find a decent P Bass Lyte from the early '90s tbh. Pearl white in color...or those crazy color Power Jazz Bass Spc from the late '80s - like the lime green, fuschia (sp?), or even the natural...those would be cool to own. I think Paducah Lake has the fuschia colored one.
