Recently brotherdave has taken some hits from arrogant know-it-alls who always try and one up him. I know what he's done for me and all the help and advice that he's given have made me a better player and a lot more responsible as a bass guitarist.

Simple poll, has he helped you?

Seems like he took an absence from the site about a year ago for the same reason. Shame to see the consequences of anonymous internet pos(t)ers. He's an important repository of all that is early Fender P-bass history. Here's hoping he wanders back by these parts soon.

He was quite patient & helpful with my newbie non-music question, and made me feel welcome here.

Yes - my bridge on my 2005 Am P Bass had a part that was effecting my A string and he identified what kind of bridge I had and I was able to get a replacement and install it myself :)

Brotherdave's information here and on his website is what got me interested in playing bass. He's the reason I have a copperburst MIM P Bass, my Japanese Squier Vista Music Master Bass and my Bronco Bass.

Long live brotherdave!

Dang! 100% so far. I think there are a lot of people waiting for the dust to settle as fars as the notification thing. I'm sure there will be more saying "YES". If Dave hasn't been a help on here, his web site has educated who knows how many. I'll admit that he has helped me more than anyone. There were a lot of others over the years too, to them I say, THANKS!

Keep the poll alive, tell your Forum buddies. Dave deserves recognition.

I'm sure he's embarrassed by this, and to that I say,

This is what happens when you hang out with clowns!

I appreciate the kind words and I do feel the love. BUT, I'd like to point out that there are some other great people here that have helped me, corrected me, refreshed me and spanked me because frankly no one person can possibly know or remember everything or be right 100% of the time. I'm really good at collecting links though. Speaking of great links, here's one!
http://www.sabrelanesconservatory.com/forum/index.php

I'll be adding that link to my bass site at the next update which will be Sunday I think.

I'm somewhat reluctant to start listing names of people here who have helped me because I'd surely leave someone out and upset them and the last thing I want to do is upset someone. But if you've ever sent me a schematic or a color chart or anything like that or sent me a link to add to my collection or corrected me on some detail, THANKS!
