I know it is a discontinued model. But it sure is intriguing to me. I'd like to hear from people who own a Big Block P-Bass or have owned one about what they did and didn't like. The one thing I didn't like was the sole color choice of black.

Play a few and did some fretwork on another, hit or miss MIM stuff but its big neck is a plus,to close to the bridge is the pickup located for my taste, closer to the middle and it would def compete with a MusicMann,2 of the 3 had shoddy fret-work aside from the tangs poking out the sides from the wood shrinking they also were pressed in un-even,but def its own sound and no longer produced I wonder why HUHM ?

I had one and it sounded great but eventually the neck developed issues that even the pro luthiers couldn't repair.

I could have replaced the neck I guess but i was touring at the time and it was easier to replace it. I sold it cheap.

my personal dealer had one in his shop for around 6 months and i played it often, very nice one, big sound, easy handling... a true rock-machine, should have bought it but at swiss prices it surpassed my budget! :(

I had a 2005 or 2006 Big Block which I converted to a fretless with a mighty mite neck. Sounded bitchen, but someone stole it. If you are the culprit, I hope you are enjoying my bad-ass bass you dick!! :x ! It was a little thin in active mode, but the bass boost cured that. I played it alot on reggae recordings with that bass boosted and it sounded pretty clean and low...not boomy or muddy..even with flat-wounds.
