Would you buy it?
Is it worth it?
I don't know if it is fake or real from the pictures. To me it looks like a real Fender Pbass. I have emailed the guy asking what the SN is.
Please help!

It looks legit to me,The decal's design is from the 90's and made in Mexico,it looks ok from the small picture, post a pic of its serial number and someone or myself will tell you what you need to know.
Learning the different decals designs helped me when I did'nt have the serial number, they(decals)were usually re-designed every few years so its not overly hard to figure out the general age of a bass,Its not etched in stone(year made)because the decal was sometimes re-used on both earlier and later model too.
Send the serial number here(my fender forum homepage) or to the P-bass question page check back tomarrow sometime for the info you needed,no serial no info, got it :?:

If the neck isn't all whacked out or something else wrong with it it's worth $200 to alot of people. 90's Mexican basses are okay but not quite as good as the ones made these days. But hey for $200 in California? Don't go by my word as a deal breaker or whatever. Too bad you don't have someone who knows basses that could check it out for you. I guess I could fly out there on my private jet but I have a gig tomorrow.

I know much about basses, just not Fenders, and this seemed too good to be true around here. I have no reply from the guy selling it.

Whats he asking for it ? You did'nt mention that very critical piece of information and without us knowing how much they are asking we cant tell you yes or no on buying it,I would'nt pay more than 250.00$ for any Mexican made standard bass model(the Mex line is called the standard series) from the ninties.
Some people love'em but I have yet to find one of the holy grail models as of yet,I would absolutely go with a Japanese model, even if it cost a bit more its well worth.
Thats my opinion,I have others I know swear by them, not me I avoid them because my first Fender bass was a Jazzbass that had the crappiest neck ever and needed constant adjustment,so I say well clear,But I do like the MDirnt MIM bass,it has a H-U-G-E neck that would take a miracale to warp or twist it(or both).
g/luck

I have the Holy Grail of all Mexican basses. I refuse to talk about it because of haters, Kobain kids, posers, jerks,Rickies, do gooders (nobody likes them),opinionated pin heads, people who read posts too fast, guitar players, anyone in China, South Dakota residents, worms, and Florida post office counter people.

Just know that the HOLY GRAIL MEXICAN BASS resides in a safe place. I really shouldn't play it.....DON"T TOUCH IT!!!! When I open the case a Heavenly song floats out into the ears. I sit and look at it all the time. It does not speak to me..... yet.

It came to me via the Craigslistignation of happenstance for I did put an add out there in the vast internet of the soul. A man called upon me to come and recieve the Grail for said price and low I did recieve it unto me for the said price. He was to cast it off because of a sore limb(wrist)..........
I brought it to the cave of man and partook of it's wonder. And now it resides in the heart and in and of itself with no doubt to understand that it is what it is and shall be.

The price is at the top of the page, 200 dollars.

I am up to buy it, if it has no problems. The guy selling it still hasn't answered me.

Yeah, he never replied. Dang.

On an unrelated note, I just used pure carnuba wax on my guitar, and it made all of the mild-medium scratches disappear! Looks brand new. It worked on the pickups too, which had pick scratches.

I have posted it on the forum- so technically it's been picturized. The question is---which one is it?
