Cream body
Looks like original head w/ Fender sticker
No visible serial number, just patent numbers below sticker on head:
"PAT 2,946,960 2,972,925 2,245,078 2,700,300"
Two standard P-Bass pickups and one Jazz-Bass pickup back toward the bridge.
Two knobs and one pickup switch.
No "F" on plate at back, just a black plate behind where the knobs are.
Would attach pics if I knew how.
Thanks!

To post photos, first they must be available online. You can upload them to a free photo hosting account. There are several to choose from. Photobucket is one such free service.

1. Start a post.
2. Click the IMG button in the menu above the text box. A set of image tags will appear. Paste the direct link to your photo in the middle of the image tag where the cursor automatically falls.
3. Click PREVIEW to make sure it looks ok, if it does then click Submit

Agreed! Those numbers that you posted are patent numbers;not the correct ones to use when doing research about the bass/guitar you're inquiring about.
A few places to look in trying to find the serial# are the headstock(front or back)the chrome neckplate on the back of the bass and if not there try in the neck pocket, take of the neck and it may be on the but-end of the neck, the neck pocket on the body and possibly under the pickgaurd and/or pickups.
If unsure on how to remove the neck just take some good close-up photo's of the headstock(both front and back),neckplate located on back of the body and under the pickgaurd, there may be just enuff clues contained in the pics for one of us to give you an answer, but dont take it apart if unsure on how to re-assemble it correctly, its not worth messing it up should it be original vintage quality or a custom shop bass, one never knows till its inspected correctly.
