Can anyone steer me in the right direction to obtain a jack socket replacement. After 18 years and I dont know how many thousand plug in and plug out's it has endured it has jagged in. This socket also switches the active electronics on. This model was discontinued in 95, is there any alternative socket I could fit ?. Still rate it as the best and most comfortable bass I have played.

I had to replace one on a 1980's Power Jazz Bass Special and used the one from a Power Telecaster available from the Guitar Center. (see link below).

If I remember correctly, the jack on yours is also a side mount, and there should be plenty of room, but measure for clearances inside the electronics compartment before you buy. Hopefully, the threaded neck on the replacement Tele jack is long enough for your application.
