The body and neck are made of wood. Everything on them isn't.

I can't tell what the body wood is however.

It should be made from basswood,if the bass was made in Japan(it will say where its made on the front of the headstock,its going to be printed on a little decal located under the larger Fender lyte decal.
Just about all the Fenders from 81-present are made of basswood,there are some that use alder when the finish is a clear coat,or on a semi transparent finish were the wood can be slightly seen through the finish then Basswood is probably the wood.

Lawsuit is correct. There are several different P-Bass Lyte specs but MOST were Basswood. There is also a mahogany bodied variation but that is a reddish see-through color, sort of like the Gibson mahogany, but not as red. Here's two of the spec sheets:
