I was totally frustrated to see Fender stop making 22-fret basses. The last 22-fretter was the Victor Bailey signature model, it was gone.

All Fender basses had at least 20 and 21 frets, except the SB Jazz VI, which has 24.

So I wondering if the folks at Fender had any future plans to make a new 22-fret bass or bring back the older US Deluxe designs with the downsized bodies, though I know the 22-fret basses were discontinued to save money.

Bet Chromeface would love this Fender Bass! It is the Fender Performer, which was made in Japan in the final days of CBS ownership of the Fender brand. It has 24 frets. That's right, there are two full octaves per string!

They are scarce.

They want lots of $$$$$$$ when you can find them. I wish I was able to try them out when it was still available. :(
