I have a beautiful EP11 which I really want to keep up together and in good condition.
It has the Schaller polished chrome bridge with micro tuners. Believe it or not, just one of the tuning adjusters has lost it's chrome plating!
Can anyone give me a link to somewhere where I can get either another adjuster or, if necessary, a replacement bridge?

I have even a more beautiful question  WHAT IS A EP11 ? Is it a p-bass copy by Epiphone copy,if so go to allparts or Stewert Macdonalds(stewmac for short)both sell tuners, ebay to will have them.
BTW,this a Fender forum,u may have better luck on a Epiphone or Gibson orientated forum. G/Luck :D

Lawsuit I think he might be talking about a Precision Elite II Bass, which he is referring to as an Elite Precision II hence EPII.

These had Fender logos on those really nice heavy Schaller bridges. That tiny part is going to be a tough find. I think you'd have to get them from Schaller but you can check with Fender Consumer Relations.

It might be best to get the part you have re-chromed. North American Instruments in Largo, Florida does re-plating work, but perhaps there is a restoration business nearby to where you live that can re-chrome it.

Thanks for the replies guys.
This is indeed an Elite Precision 11.
Schaller have given their stock of these to Fender as far as I know, so I'll contact Consumer Relations as you suggest.
Failing that, re-chroming it will have to be!

by hitting the "L-key" (twice, no shift) you'll get "ll" or hit the"i-key" (twice, with shift) you'll get "II" (not the same as "ll")... when you hit 11 no one (except bd the fox) will know what your talking about!
but finally, to chrome or not to chrome, that is the question...

The remaining spare bridges and associated parts would have been in the possession of CBS Fender when they sold out to FMIC. FMIC did get the existing parts inventory from CBS but since that was over 26 years ago it is going to be a lucky find if they still have one.

Every so often one of the bridges shows up on eBay as someone takes it off to try another bridge or parts one out. These were nice basses made very late in the CBS era, but the hardware used on them was some of the best Fender ever used.

Sorry about that,I checked your bands webpage and seen the bass you had, never knew it was called that EPII  ,I been tring to find one of those bridges from that 3-4 yrs of production with the micro tuners located on the bridge itself used for fine tuning.
I thought I found one but it was an incorrect pic,it ended up being one of the brass ones with the word FENDER written in cursive,I did'nt really know what it was till I recieved it in the mail,he wanted 75.00$ for five of them,I declined but I wish I did'nt the sell for like 160.00$ now and mines being listed soon
G/luck finding the tuners,go on e-bay I see the enclosed tuners type regularly, are they the ones with the phillips screw in the end to adjust the tension ? if so I may have one,let me know OK?

For the finetuners you could ask at http://www.bassmatters.nl located in the Netherlands. They have some tuners, I don't think these are original, but are oke. I believe payment with creditcard is possible.

For more information about the Elite Bass, see my webpage http://www.riverband.demon.nl/elite.html.

Regards,

TonH
