I broke down today and purchased the 60th Anniversary P Bass - sigh - it is a beautiful instrument - it was love at first sight. Being a fairly new bass player (only going to have my 3rd year anniversary in October) who is just playing for fun - I even splurged and got a Rumble 30 (I had a 15). I love the flight case it comes with and the candy - but most of all I love how it plays. Now I need more room!!!! How does every else like theirs (if they own one or have played one).

I have always liked the anniversary models Fender has put out, they are exactly how ALL the American made models should be made like.
They use very nicely grained/figured wood(Wink  Wink)The necks are usually flatsawned for better stability coupled with very good fret-work,and the fit and finish are nearly perfect.
I own a Fender 60th anniversary jazzbass and I will say its the best one I have ever owned when it comes down to my ideallic jazzbass tone,I could not ask for a more textbook genuine vintage Jazzbass tone.
I have also done work on a bunch of the 50th anniversary P-basses in the past and each one of them were like the basses that used to be made by Fender long ago but with the modern up-grades of today.
If it were'nt for the see thru off-white finish I would get one A.S.A.P.,but its not my fav finish and cant justify the price AND a re-finish as well !!
BUT I CAN LIKE YOURS  Good-Luck w/it
NO PIC=NO BASS ! :!:

I don't have a photo bucket to upload the pic to! My personal thing that sold me was it was an Ash body - I have an 05 Am P Bass and it is Ash as well - it just sounds better to me.
