At the risk of getting this thread almost back to the original topic, I stumbled across this funny video on the 'Tube yesterday. This guy likes his MIM.

Thank you
for derailing, but ive picked my bass. I played every bass at my music store and the best(including 1000 dollar fenders) the best was a classic vibe tele bass without the split pick up in that yellowy color $345 willl be getting it on tuesday will post pics

Good choice, I've played them and found them to be decent. Leaves some cash to add to the amp fund too.

Heres the amp story. I had a friend whose father died. He was a musician and played bass I now have all his gear including a 6ft peavey stack.

I had a Peavey rig long ago, 2 15" speakers and a 500 watt head, can't remember the model #.

It was a beast! Now you can buy a Tech 21 Sansamp Bassdriver, there are lots of different models to choose from, scares me to think what will happen with your rig.

You think it's powerful now? A Sansamp box will almost double the output. A bunch of us use them.

when you (can, -i wish i could) hit big stages then big amps with big speakers are ok... for small to medium venues (100-300 folks) the tech 21 does the perfect job beside a small amp on stage.
i run a 120 watt behringer and the tech 21 through the p.a. and got perfect sound, -loud, -fat and punchy. no need to hassle with big stuff, the sansamp does miracles!
