Not really portable, but I stay at a Holiday Inn express once.

We play on what's left of one at a club. It was nice when they first got it. The first night one of the floor panels cracked and a hole developed. Thankfully it was under our singer. They fixed it. Next the steps went loose becuase the mounting pieces wore out and the people really weren't good at setting it up and tearing it down. You had to be care full because the steps wobbled. They still do. So eventually something happened to whatever clamps or whatnot that hold the thing together and a whole section of it is now unuseable. So it's a section smaller (4 ft) all the way down one side. They leave it set up now and it's in a corner that faces away from the dance floor . It faces the entry and everything else is off to the left. The band has to set up diagonally which takes away about 1/3 more room. So I think in this case the portable stage should be portabled out the door and into the dumpster. I'd rather set up on the floor.

I have actually played on a flatbed trailer as a stage more than a few times. Anyone else? What a pain to load in and out!
