Hi there,
i need help. I dont know the year of my bass. It is Fender Precision bass. The serial nr. is 412156. And also my pick-ups don't work, witch one i shold put.

This serial number belongs to a USA CBS-era bass, Fender Fullerton, CA plant, 1973/4.

You need to have the electronics checked out - professionally, or if you know your way around a multimeter, you can do it yourself - to be sure that it is the pickup, and not one of the pots, or a dry joint anywhere.

Assuming it is the pickup that's duff, either a Seymour Duncan SPB-1 or a Fender Original Vintage (part no. 0992046000) should do the trick. The latter would be period correct - my '70 re-issue has this pickup set, and sounds fantastic, as good as any I've heard.
