Its ok i dont use the Dots i have been playing for 31 yrs!

I think you miss my point

That's okay but I'll explain a little better. I am not tied to the dots. The thing is when I play I just don't stand there like a pillar in front of a building. I've always moved around alot when I play even when I started in 73-74. Right now in our show in the last song of the set there's a big finale and sometimes I take the bass and throw it up in the air ( don't try this at home) . I try to time it so when I catch it on it's way down I can hit an A note to coinside with the drummers last crash. So I have to look at the neck and find the position. It helps to be able to see the marker. It's that kind of thing. I do other stuff also where there's no way around looking at the neck. If I can't see the position markers on the bass I can't use it at a show. :)

Well you know where I'm coming from. Yeah I've bumped our singer alot of times. He's always extending his arms out and hitting my headstock- never knocked me out of tune though. I like Rockin out if the music is groovin and if everyone is up dancing. We feed off the energy of the dancers, all of us do. Ain't nothin like it. That's why I'm still jammin and in a band.

Deluxe bass was purchased I hear, thats cool and how do you like it? I have read good things aboute the MiM Deluxe,I have tried them out a few times and was'nt disappointed but neither elated or blown away.
I was going to buy a US made P-bass deluxe the last model before they changed out the humbucker for a single Jazz p-up,It was on clearence to get rid of it because they were getting the new version without the humbucker and wanted to make room,It was marked at only 899.00$ new w/tags,case candy, deluxe fitted cases,Fender bass strap w/locks ETC....
I would have bought on the spot but its fretboard turned me off,If I buy used I dont act picky about every little qwirk but If I buy new then its MY standards and I will not settle for a neck that was'nt what I really wanted, both my basses have a r/wood fretboard and its something I was'nt to happy about, but they fell in my lap and could'nt pass'em up for the price.

Nice Bass Stroker!!

I sold it and I should not have. It was in my selling off phase. I'm bummed- it sounded good-- I forget what I was going after by getting rid of it. May have been money.

That is a nice bass. Also that is a neat trick! Not throwing the bass and catching it on the last note of the song....but playing with your body at a 90 degree angle seemingly defying gravity while your feet rest on the left wall! That is some Fred Astaire stuff there!

That's a metal patio and those are magnetic converse of course. I'm not that majician dude Chris Angel with hair down over one eye so I look cool to the chicks. No that's not me. I'm just a regular guy who got roped into the NICP to have to go out to sector 7 and spend all my free time taking data . Pennywise figured I was the only one for the job. What am I talking about? That info is privledged, please disregard this post. Thank you.

New post- yeh it was a hard trick to pull off. Thanks. Oh yeh- I don't throw the bass too much anymore. Only on special occasions like the 4th of July.
