ok, so i rewired it with this diagram

and it works fine now.. i still have some buzz from grounding, and i don't know why because i replaced every single wire including the bridge ground wire with thicker gauge copper wire... all i can think of is instrument cable, and interferance, i think i'm going to try to totally shield the inside with that copper tape, although it could be something from in the room too...

I noticed I was still getting some buzz from my Squier VM P after I had checked and double checked everything. It turned out that the instrument cable input jack was slightly touching the bottom off the control cavity and grounding/regrounding/something screwed-up with the bass. I dremel'd the bottom where it was contacting and the buzzing went away.
I don't know if that makes any sense, or can even cause buzzing/grounding issues, but it worked for me.
