hey guys, i don't post here much, but thought i'd like to share with y'all

i picked up this squier p bass from a kid for 60 bucks.
Image

it's a 98 squier, was really dirty, and nasty with ugly gold knobs lol, so i decided to change it around a bit. silver knobs, paint, a thumb rest, and a bridge cover.

this is my first bass, and i love playing it, and i'm picking it up pretty fast. the only thing i have left to do is swap out the pups, so what are some good bass pick ups?

(oops, i posted this in the wrong section, so if a mod could put this in the squier bass guitars that would be sweet.)

Another vote for SPB-3's. I'm a great believer in putting Seymour Duncan pickups in Squiers - makes all the difference 8)

Like our favorite European said, p bass is p bass. The dudes around here are chill as can be, so don't sweat that sort of stuff. Its a pretty badass piece you got going. Correct me if my glasses are deceiving me, but those pole pieces look pretty beefy already.

That's a very nice bass . Just don't let them talk you into joining the NICP. You'll never be the same again.

sv is so right... and he's got to know it! the seriousness of the preci-forum is heavily undermined meanwhile, rampant derailing contents, silly senseless statements and the frightening increase of pennywise's presence here... do i have to mention more?
so be warned guys/not guys, NICP-membership is highly contagious and there ain't no cure!!!

AWESOME!!
lol i guess i've never posted before so i'm good, i wasn't sure on rules and junk like that

thanks everyone for the good comments, and also thanks for the pickup suggestion, i wanted to do that next and i was looking at what direction to go in, so i guess i do't have to ask the question hahaha,

and @low-Hz-blow that was exactly what i was thinking i know squier strats are junk, but i also know squier teles and basses are really nice.

this thing is rockin and so much fun to play i think i've officially become a bass player :D

well man your glasses don't deceive you at all, there pretty beefy right now, this is the best shot i have of the pups,

but these are the standards on the squiers from 98... they sound pretty good, but i do have a ton of buzz happening, the duncans look beefier. i'll probably save my money and get them, i'd actually like to get an entirely new electrical system in there, but thats where i really don't know where to go

NICP is something you'll have to figure out. It's a lifestyle, it's an adventure and it's something you'll never forget.
