I decide finally to buy a Precision S1 but I don't know.... maple or rosewood?
Which has faster fretboard and which is better for classic rock sound?
And what is the main different between them?
Guys, I'll need your experience!

For classic rock, I would use rosewood. Some of the differences that I have found are:

Maple is said to be more comfortable, providing a great upper-mid frequency response. Maple is the brightest, tightest, and punchy.

Rosewood is sweeter, warmer, full toned with less of that bright edge.
Rosewood provides a great low-end response and won't ever look as dirty or as a worn-in maple fretboard.

Hopefully others will chime in to give you their opinions.

I like the rosewood over maple. I like the warmth of the sound of it. I had a maples and it seems to lack in that departmant, but its your decision on which is best for you

I like maple on how it looks, but rosewood for ease of maintanance. I have both.

I don't understand why it's hard to keep maple fretboard looking clean? Just wipe it after a gig it should be clean. Shouldn't it? I've never had a problem cleaning maple boards, that's why I asked.
