Thank you for the valuable information, Brother Dave. my cornbread pan was a gift, a very nice thought on the part of the giver.

Just, FYI, every culture and every area of the country, and world, has their own way of making the same thing.

My wife makes cornbread in a cast iron skillet that was her Grandmother's. It's awesome.

like this one:

After being married for thirty years....a wife asked her husband to describe her.
He looked at her slowly....then said, "You're A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K."
She asks...... "What does that mean?"
He said, "Adorable, Beautiful, Cute, Delightful, Elegant, Foxy, Gorgeous, Hot."
She smiled happily and said...."Oh, that's so lovely...... What about I, J, K?"
He said, "I'm Just Kidding!"

No cornbread! That's outrageous! Oh well, how about the recipe of something equivalent? I know Switzerland is civilized, that's why I asked for the Swedish recipe.

ok, here's one: röschti (roe'sh'tee) 4 persons
take 10-12 boiled potatoes, 1 onion, butter, salt (bacon bits by preference)

pass the potatoes through the grater, chop the onion in small pieces.
heat the butter in a pan (same as your corn bread: the older, the better) add onion till they are glassy, then add the potatoes and let them get slightly golden brown...
goes very well with spinach and sunny side up-eggs!!!

...i'm just getting hungry!

That looks great! Kind of our American version pf hash browned potatoes. Every culture has a dish akin to others. My wife will love it that you posted a recipe on the Forum. I'm sure Auntie Velma will make this dish too!

Easy Fletch, you told me you traded it for the rope. Do you remember? Fletch, think. Who took it and do you still have the rope?
