Many thanks for the help

For a long time, electric guitar frets didn’t change much. Throughout the 1950’s and 1960’s, Fender stuck to their banjo frets (#6230 fret wire) and Gibson used the medium jumbo frets (#6130 fret wire).

guess leo used the same on the basses till cbs-times...

Many thanks for your help! BTW what´s the difference between Vintage and 6230 frets? Fender seems to use Vintage frets on their p bass. Which one would you prefer?

Thanks guys 8)

guess there's no difference, they seem to be "vintage".
if you wanna refret an original '62 take the 6230 and keep the old ones for the purists...
finally i have no preference in frets as long they're not jumbo-sized.

I meant that I ordered a P bass 62 from CS and asked them to build me new P bass to 1962´s specs... But don´t know which frets are closer to the original 1962 frets - their "Vintage" or 6230´s....

Thanks again :D

that's a very luxurious problem...
as far as i know the 6320 were used on all pre-cbs fenders, i don't know what went on later, guess they cleared their stocks and got the cheapest that they could find.
you may call back to the cs-dep. and get better advice or perhaps brotherdave can give you a hint:

let us know more about, pics and specs when you get it...

I like that!
Hope I get to use it soon. :D

I also like Alice Cooper...
Especially Dennis Dunaway. :)

i adore alice cooper too, the early work till "muscle of love" was so great... and badly underestimated. the swiss could hardly accept the exotic manner of the band; same happened to early queen, freddy mercury was reduced to a f@g, very few people did recognize his genius.
later when those bands went world-stars, everyone proclaimed to be their biggest fans.
to me "killer" and "school's out" were/are in my top-10s of rock'n'roll-history since early '70s, great stuff!
