That is one sweet bass, in a rush so I couldn't re-size them.

Thanks Oxfan- it is the most interesting bass I have. AND it kicks some sound $@!.

The body and neck are carved and the headstock is another piece. The whole thing appears to be one piece. It's made from African Padauk with a Wenge rib and a bookmatched Flame maple top. Ebony f board with lots of Abalone. It has alot of cool stuff going on with it. It's a shame this guy quit building.

Well....... I don't know about the Rick thing..... The neck feels like your favorite vintage Jazz, fits your hand comfortable type.
At heart I'm Fender thru and thru like a bunch of the guys here but this bass is just what it is. It's hand carved and made like a craftsman would. To make a "one piece" bass ( which is basically what it is) only an inch thick--- some serious thought had to go into it. Yet the guitar has all the basic and some fancy stuff included. It's a one of a kind. That sets it apart and it is no competition with Fenders even though it's a bit "boutique". I mean the guy quit making guitars so noone has to worry.

Brass nut that has pins , brass retainer, thin pots, big orange wafer cap, tongue oil and laquer finish.

It gets the killer Jaco honk with the bridge PU.

That would be good. It wouldn't add much to the gross weight of the bus- that's fer sure.
