A MIM bass in good to great condition will fetch 300.00$,Tops 325.00$ depending on the model but the first estimate of 3 bills is as good solid number, now if its an up-graded model such as the 60 th anniversary model that will make it a bit more valuable along with the FSR(ash bodied clear finished Sam Ash exclusive model)up-grade.
Sad but true even if you modified the heck out of it with a BadA$$ bridge and new tuners coupled with new pick-ups it MAY sometimes detract from the overall value of the guitar, but rest assured it will not increase the value,go figure.
I can agree with a vintage bass needing to be all original to fetch a high price seeing originality makes it worth money BUT on a entry to mid-level bass one would hope that changing out all the stuff that usually defines it from being a high end bass would infact increase its worth it does not for some reason, but sometimes you can get lucky and get a few extra bucks from a sympethetic buyer,NOT USUALLY THOUGH

Dude I cannot get over this blizzard pearl Jazzbass I see all the time, the maple neck really makes it work BIGTIME,I had a E series Japanese made Jazzbass special in a similar but darker color w/black headstock,I sold it to a friend and he stripped it before I could buy it back, now its a bleached 3 piece basswood body with little remnants here and there of its thickly applied paint in its pickup and electronic routes.
Thats bass would look soooo sweeeet with black hardware(tuners, bridge & straplocks ETC..)dont forget a black pickgaurd too,and for the creme de'la creme Black blocks and binding  ,MAN I WOULD SELL MY SOUL ! No I would'nt,.. I could'nt even get enuff for it to buy a used Squier Affinity with a warped neck and no electronics for whats left of my soul :( .
Nice bass, enjoy it and treat it well
