The guys name is Phil Garside- I found it by just searching Garside guitars. Maybe the site is gone. He did quit making guitars and basses. Shame because the bass I have is just too sweet and of course I'm going to make it sound like the Gods of Bass commisioned it (one of a kind) for the dude in NJ that owned it first because they ( Bass Gods) knew I was destine to have (it) such an odd and original bass. Bass Gods know allot of stuff. I just can't figure them out.

Anyway the Garside is full of all the woods and ebonies and wenges' and whatnot with flame maple, awsome like a 62 Jazz neck shape, dual action truss, baddass bridge ( can you believe it?), bound everything, and the utmost specialest thing is - it's only an inch thick. Yes.

I found his name here and there but no site. Sounds like an awesome bass. As long as it's the way you want it , that's all that matters. I've seen so many guys keep "buying up" to get the "right" sound when what they were looking for was available with what they had. I think we've all been guilty of that, I know I have.

I'm going to finish off the changes on my Jazz soon, haven't ordered the bridge cover yet, starting to wonder if i really want it. New pickguard and thumb rest sitting here, pup cover already on
.

Too bad, I'd have liked to have seen it.
