Crawling Eye was a great one, scared the snot out of me. George Steele used to eat a pack of lime kool-aid before matches back then. Just like Sabre does now.

Whereas I always considered the bassist to be the most thoughtful and nice guy in the band, are we actually twisted?

bassists actually care about the quality of the total product rather than just themselves.

it's the role of true bassists to be the stealthy ruler of the bands: -mediator of rhythm and groove, melody and chords. ...a job for leaders!
and if they write the lyrics too they even steer to content of the bands message... roger waters did that very well!

Yeah, he did. But he was a complete chode about it then and now. Not exactly the dude I hope people think of when they think bassist, in terms of personality.

...i (or better the others ;-)) suffer the same, but there's a prize to pay to push a band to its max!
(not that i wanna compare me with his genius, but the "personality" fits... )

Speaking of Roger Waters, there's a RW Bass on EBay.

Hey Ox!
Here's something for you:

It would be nice. I'm not a collector. If I were to buy a new bass it would be one I used all the time. A '78? I'm not impressed. A new American Standard? Most definitely.

Thanks for thinking about me.

I'm a huge fan but, I'm also very frugal and practical. Should I invest in a bass, for $1200.00 or so, a new American Standard is the most logical choice.

Just told wifey about your trying to entice me. She said to tell you I just bought her a garage and I'll be buying a new driveway for $5200.00

We didn't tell you to do anything. It's the voices in your head, everything will be alright.
