life of glbass, they hear a rumbling in the distance! It's getting louder and louder!

In a huge cloud of dust a huge gleaming dumptruck pulls up. Out jumps Rez with a flaregun in one hand and an airhorn in the other, he charges into the pigs and fires the flaregun while blowing the airhorn.

No .44 huh? He seemed like a Dirty Harry kind of guy to me... :)

.44 is gone, sold 'er...Ruger Blackhawk...I do miss that sucker, but it was so expensive just to shoot it.

On "As The Tuner Turns, you're more of a Macgyver type, an intellectual hero.

They are REALLY nice though. I almost bought one in 2004.
(Not very practical for daily carry.)

Bullets were just skyrocketing a few yrs back, and if you know guns, the bigger caliber bullets gets even more expensive. I hate paying for cheap bullets too, just gets the gun so dirty. I'm thinking of getting a Sig .45, but those bullets are expensive also. So maybe get a 9mm, or .40 is not bad.

They are still expensive...
That's not going to change anytime soon either. :(

Go take a look at my FB album named "Range Photos"...
You tell me.

9mm is the cheapest way out. You can get reasonably good quality practice / recreational ammo as cheap as it gets..

Or you could go .357 and use less expensive .38SPL +P for some of your your days at the range...
That's the practical solution I settled on a many years ago... :D

I do like revolvers...just nice, simple, explosive :D
I had a .357, other than the .44 Mag, it's probably my favorite. P229 was my fave semi - not including H&K .45ACP. Just a blast (no pun intended   ) to fire. Now, I had these guns for protection of course, but recreational too. I agree, 9mm is the cheap way out but still holds some power - depending on bullet type. The 12 ga I have is not a practical home protection if you wake up in the middle of the night. Big, bulky, slow to maneuver half a sleep, while ripping my sleep apnea mask off my face and trying to aim

BTW, are we allowed to talk about guns in the Forums? We better carry this to FB maybe on the PMs. Ox maybe we should carry this into the "As The Tuners Turns" story line so it'd be the loop hole ;)

All very practical solutions and compromises....they just leave that one lingering question unanswered.....

Inspector Callahan was the best!! Inspector in his later installment of the series. I got the Dirty Harry collection - even came with a 'detective wallet' that had the badge and ID...LOL!

what??? c'mon buddy :?

Sabre, I got Skype...every time I try the conference mode, it cuts me out. I've done multi chat, that doesn't lock me up. I was video chatting w/my mom so I can see my baby nephew at her place, then my daughter gets on from her computer upstairs, it locked the video and just shows our profile pix, then kicked me off

Not a "Skyper" here...but perhaps Ox will find an ingenious plot twist in all these side journeys that this thread has taken, and wind up with an amazing storyline for his next episode? :o

I think he'll enter tonight full force...he's working right now IIRC.

The drummer I've played off and on with since 1991 told me that anytime someone says they are from New Jersey that I should ask "What exit?"...

toll booth state - transit state - garb....well we can go on...LOL! I never have more issues driving thru a state than the Garden State. It is a nice state, especially the central and southern parts. The northern mountains aren't bad either.

Bob, I do know about White Castles...I luv 'em, but I can get them here. I'm going back to eat stuff I can't get in Green Bay.
