Lately I've discovered that quite a few of us are cat owners, either voluntarily or involuntarily. I've got two.

Please, no recipes. Well, I do have one. Take pieces of cat, soak in buttermilk overnight, dredge in two cups flour, one cup cornmeal, salt and pepper to taste, garlic powder optional. Fry immersed in hot oil 3 minutes, drain, place on baking sheet in 375 degree pre-heated oven for 30 minutes.

This is Rez's recipe, in Wisconsin, they love cat.

my fiance (now wife) had a cat when I moved to Wisc, she moved here 1st, then I followed a yr b4 our wedding. She named him Marley, yes, after Bob. Nice cat, the only cat I really ever liked. I'm a dog person. We always have (had) dogs. Plus my allergies kinda put that option to rest. My youngest keeps asking for a cat, so far the answer has been: NO. :|

Get used to it, super kid....you'll find that the people who like OR dislike cats tend to have strong opinions about them, and jokes like these are very common.

Note - I resisted the urge to say "Oh, you won't get sick at all - just be sure the center is cooked to about 160 degrees", in an effort to give you the courtesy of a serious reply.

Rare cat is considered a delicacy in many cultures, I agree wit Bob on the 160 degree thing, Rez, are you allergic when you have them near you or when you eat them?

I always thought that if a black cat scratched your bass it was like Voodoo. Doesn't it mean that the bass now has big Mojo? I don't think I can take 7 more years of bad tone.

I saw where the cat and the bass lived. Nasty. He might have sprayed it too. I don't know what that means.

I'm going to light some insence and spread around some special sauce and do that solo thing. If that don't work I'm gonna' burn my bottle of Rythemeen. That should take care of it.

I think, in theory, Bob's ideas are all very sound. A cat can eat salad for long periods of time with no ill effects, The tin foil hat thing has actually been tested as well as using Billy May's infomercials.

Sabre, you are the one showing their true colors now , it's o.k. to be a cat lover, it doesn't make you a bad person.

Cats and Precision basses get along very well.

My bass was on the stand when I lit the Rythemeen. The cat started howling like a banshee . I had the cheap Jazz copy and was doing the solo backwards when all of a sudden the cat flew across the room right by my head with sparks and vapor trail shooting out of its butt, hit the wall and vanished in a cloud of smoke. WOW!!!!!

All is good now. Tone has returned. Action is slick. Mojo resides.

The bass is "Black Cat Scratched".

I'm pretty sure I've had cats. I eat Chinese food at least twice a week.
