This is a Doozy, I haven't seen another one like it. My first Bass was a Fender. It has the Sunburst paint job, and active pickups. It had all the pickups of the "deluxe" as in the P-bass and the bridge Jazz pickup, and this is the part that confuses me.

Instead of 4 separate knobs to adjust it had 2 knobs and 4 dials. I was wondering if anyone has a clue what model this was. I would like to buy one again if I can ever find one.

That is not me playing the bass but that is the bass I sold him. I have never seen another one like that.

Heartfield or MB- they might have another name too. I used to have an MB bass and that's when I learned that there was another model that looked very similar to my MB and it was called a Heartfield. Since then they may have even called it something else... a "Special" maybe also.

Things never stay different and the same at the same time ( such as pant size)....... That does not make a lick of sense but I felt the need to write it for some reason.

Is that an Fender M80 bass amp?? I had one of those....wasn't good for sure, had good features, but not a good amp. Fender's come a long way in amplification since the late 80's early 90's cheap amplification for sure.

UH--OH -- I have a Fender M80 bass amp. I must have the good one though. I use it at practice/studio. The built in choros did break -- so I have no choros ( I don't know how I survive). I like it. It's pretty loud. Our recording guy says it sounds like an SVT. He's the guy that records us. But you are right-- it's a piece of junk. :P :D HA! It's Saturday and I feel good!!!

This bass is a MIM Cowpoke, a mixture of design elements from three different basses (Precision Bass Plus Deluxe, JP90, MIJ '51 RI).

Okay then-- A Fender Cowpoke- well...... I've never heard of that one. There are many different types of Fender basses. I have an idea for a new one = "The Kitchen Sink".

( I'm sorry for what I claim to be humor-- I know I should not joke because bass is really serious stuff.)

All right-- Humor are good. The Fender Kitchen Sink Bass-- is a good idea.
1. 3 single coils or combo of any kind --- but 3 pick ups on the bass
2. 5 way selector- that takes care of all your series-paralell stuff
3. capacitor selector switch (2 caps installed)
4. Stereo/ mono output
5. Ash AND Alder body combo in one body
6. Rosewood and Maple fretboard combo on one neck
7. Chambered Headstock option
8. Chambered body option
9. Watch battery operated glowing Logo- SWEET
10. fine tuner bridge ( levers not dials)
11. straps that plug into the body(where the standard strap buttons are located) with a wireless transmitter in the strap.

These are just a couple ideas. The bass wouldn't be real expensive would it???

I think the Custom Shop can build the Kitchen Sink Bass for you, the prices may skyrocket a lot. Also, you might know that Fender stopped using the Schaller "Elite" fine-tuner bridge on their basses since 1995. You Kitchen Sink would have either an HMV or a locking convertible bridge instead.

Why not submitting your ideas on the CS discussion pages?
