Good morning to you all from a grey & misty England.
I got myself an "as new" Precision with its super duper monster ABS hardcase the other day - what a lovely instrument!

It's in Sunburst with tortoiseshell scratchplate & maple board.

Could anyone tell me please what size the Allen key/ Hex wrenches are to adjust the new style bridge?

There is one to do the intonation, and a small one for the saddle heights.

Thanks,

Stompbox.

Thanks for that info - I'll have to see if i can buy a T bar truss rod tool direct from Fender.

As to the intonation/string length, it's the first bridge of any guitar I've played that uses a hex wrench - I hope you don't mind but I've sent pics to your email as you kindly included it in your reply, & I don't see how to attach pictures to replies in this forum.

Cheers,

Geoff

There's also a 5-string version which is available with a rosewood fingerboard only. 5-string maple-neck Ps are offered in Black and Candy Cola.

I always thought 5-string P-Basses don't look quite 'right' Dunno why, maybe the longer section of the split Pup, just a bit 'peculiar'.......hmmmmm.

I have the same bridge on my '07 American Standard Jazz, and the allen key size for the intonation screws is 7/64"... It's a really nice bridge, and the tuners are excellent on this bass, too - I'm sure you'll like both...

- georgestrings
