I saw the Blacktop series having souped-up versions of the Strat, Tele, Jazzmaster and Jaguar guitars featuring a pair of huge-sounding humbuckers.

However, I've noticed that the Blacktop line lacks off a matching trio of bass guitars.

Did Fender having plans for making Blacktop Precision, Jazz and Jaguar basses?

If I am not mistaken, those Blacktop Fenders are MIM. The Roger Waters P bass is MIM, it is blacked out.

These are so cool. It would be interesting to see what they could do with a bass series. Any ideas?

Boom!

Something like this would be cool. However, that would be too radical for Fender

Wow, what a killer axe! Two powerful Seymour Duncan Basslines humbuckers, an HMV bridge, all-black hardware and a bound Jazz Bass neck with blocks!

FTW the Blacktop P-Bass should have three knobs for master volume, pickup blend and master greasebucket tone with a side-mounted jack. Knobs must be skirted amp types, not knurled black.

WOW!!! That photo is awesome, I would love to try that out. Is that a dream bass, or does someone actually own that?

Fender are you listening?

I've made it in paint. Geddy Lee neck and Roger Waters P-bass body. Pickups from ESP or something. Never actually seen anything like that. That's sad, that P-bass never had these great maple necks with binding and black blocks inlays.

Oh, i forgot The Zone Bass.

However, i'd prefer passive pickups
