That's a nice bass. I think it's worth the money. The way people are selling their stuff on Ebay nowadays, straight pricing is a welcome for me.

I'm no bass expert but, that has a p/j combination so lots of sound options, a wicked color and pickguard, and I don't think they make hot rod p basses any more. Get it if you have the money, but also its used so your taking a risk. I still would say get it tho (but try it out if you can first, if it's selling over the internet then nvm that)

$500 seems like a good deal to me.

I don't have one, but you can buy it and send it to me first for testing. I'd be glad to give it a full review for ya.

If you know how to check over a used bass, electronics/pick ups, neck etc....Yeah, definitely buy if for $500 is a fair price esp if it comes with the orig fender hard case and no major dings, scrapes etc.... The Tangerine/Sunset Orange if its see thru is also the ash body vs alder.

I've been looking for one of these hot rod P/J US made basses, but the prices on ebay etc... are usually ~$700-900. Thus, I bought a frankenfender p/j bass from someone for $450, Mid 90's US alder string-thru body with a fender Japan 62 re-issue rosewood neck. They added a Fender Lace Sensor J pick up in the bridge(thinking of maybe changing this to a custom shop p/u) and did a good job routing it and it sounds and plays great--just thinking of adding a badass III bridge. I've started to make it my main playing bass since if I ding it up or if it gets stolen, its less of a loss vs my stock US made Fenders.
