We're expecting anywhere from three to six inches of snow. Go walk on the beach for me, wear sunglasses so nobody can see where you're looking.

I live 3 and one-half hours inland now on the thirteenth fairway of the Badin Inn Golf Resort next to Badin Lake. Badin Lake (technically called Narrows Reservoir) does have a beach. Mostly Asian and Mexican girls there. The entire eastern border of the county where I live is a chain of lakes on the Yadkin/Pee Dee River system. I fished them for a couple of decades then that got old. I had a pontoon boat that got like 2 gallons to the mile. Can't eat the fish now since the warning came out about heavy metal contamination from the Alcoa plant in the fish. I've got a trophy bass hanging on the wall. Sort of glad I didn't eat it.

You know you are OLD when golf is safer than fishing! Anyway. Yeah I'll go to the beach after the big butt storm that is looming passes. We might get 5 inches of rain. Sometimes after big rains around here you find native American artifacts. Arrowheads, pottery shards, empty Trojan wrappers on the beach. Which reminds me of an old native American joke.

White Doctor moved into the native American village. The population was out of control. The MD tried to introduce the locals to condoms.

The Chief had 17 wives and they all were pregnant but 3. The MD took out a condom and showed the chief how to use it by illustrating with his tallman finger. Chief said "OK! I got it Doc!" So the Chief left but came back the very next day, saying, "Left ball go, UHHH! Right ball go, UHHH! Rubber go...KAPOW."

The MD says, Ok next time put on TWO condoms! That should do it. So the Chief said that would be an excellent idea.

But the next morning the Chief was back. The Chief said he had a problem yet again.

The MD said, "Tell me what happened?"

The Chief said, "I put on two rubbers as you advised. Left ball go, UHHHHH! Rubber go, UHHHH! Right ball go...KAPOW!"

If you go for a road worn you should get or make a road worn case/gigbag to go with it, that way it looks like it's from the same period.

Who is that behind those Foster Grants, It's me sb2bass, formally fjbass. Got to tell you, this thing with my brother and the two basses had up in the air for a bit. Those two basses weren't the cheapest to be playing around with either.

You changed your screen name too? Is there anything else you're going to change?

As far as I'm concerned, all gig bags should be dragged behind bus.

O.k. once again we go off on the "Evil Empire". It's just too easy, everybody has their own stories, if it weren't for personal experience, I'd swear they were urban legends, at times they're ridiculous.

Here's the bait guys, my son-in-law, the rapper ( I can hear the wheels turning, be kind) bought an Axiom midi controller, whatever the hell that is. The first one was defective, he was sent another from the factory which was bad too. He went to another "EE" and they exchanged it and gave him over an hour of personal training on it. They have classes weekly on how to use it and he was invited. Classes are free and he was very happy. He still is pretty much clueless as to do with it. I'm hoping he'll write a rap about it and get his contract

The manager of the "EE" that I usually use transferred to this store because he couldn't handle the people at the other. This second store was the first I visited, the staff was good, no attitudes, not pushy.

I named my new Jazz Omega for a reason, unless I fall into a huge sum or I go national, it will be my last one, my parts for my Precision are on the way, i have a great VM, I've got pretty much all I need. I've used enough different kinds of strings to know what I like so buying online isn't a problem.

If I ever want to buy anything out of the ordinary, all I have to do is ask here. All of the regulars are more than willing to help out with opinions or testimonies of experience.

I appreciate it, thanks.

Let's get torches and storm our Evil Empires!!!

I talked to the tech who's going to do my Precision about EE, he said he is so busy doing set-ups for people who have bought there. I'm fortunate enough to have the ability to set my own the way I like them. I'm just paranoid about re-doing the electronics.

As long as Glenn is hanging out with us, we're all subject to GAS, we all know how easily influenced we are. It will be any time now that I'll be posting the new pool. For anyone interested, all you have to do is PM me and let me know how many squares you want, when it's on, you can pay then.

I tried to talk our "Resident Expert" into starting a GAS hotline, he laughed at me. I'm going to present this idea to the next best person i can think of.

I am not the least bit concerned. I'm going to have my two Fender's the way i want them (except for the natural finish) and a very capable Squier VM Jazz Bass.

I got an interesting PM today. I won't mention who it came from but, it said, you were actually an employee of "EE" sent here to plant the GAS virus and get us all stirred up and running out to buy new gear.

At first I had serious doubt but now I wonder.

The "EE" or "Evil Empire " is Guitar Center, as if you didn't know.

Never say never. Stop and think about it, since he's been here you got two basses and I got one. Who knows how many others have bought.

How tempted were you when the opportunity came to buy something? I was after a handful of picks, for crying out loud! I bought stuff at MF today.

His evil plot is working. Rez told me if we cover our heads in aluminum foil, we won't be affected.
