I'm glad I can voice myself here in Fender land, and with fellow P-bassers. Isn't the P-Bass great! James Jamerson, Duck Dunn, and Ronnie Baker taught me so much about grooving on a P-Bass, And so did Rocco from TOP, and verdine, with his Telecaster, before is Funky Jazz bass. Carol Kaye, pick her way into funkdom, and so did Boosty. Brain wilson, played one, and so did one of my mentors Tiran Porter, from the Doobies. The Meters wouldn't be the same without George Porter Jr. And what about Louis Johnson, with his Natural P-Bass in the Beginning. Larry Graham started on a P, and so did Joe Osborn, (before he got his Jazz prototype). "Kool" from Kool and The gang, added that bottom on Jungle Boogie, with a P. And look at this, if Bob Babbitt didn't switch from a J to a P, what about that now famous bass solo on Scoripio? Isn't The P-bass Grand, just ask Sting and Chuck Raniey. Later
